The Gosh Wonderful ROM is an enhanced version of the standard ZX Spectrum ROM that has most of the imperfections fixed. The single keyword entry system has been abandoned in favour of an editor where BASIC words are just typed in as you would in any other BASIC. There is also a Renumber and Block Delete although these must be preceded by REM and used as a direct command. 'rem streams' shows how the ZX Spectrum is making use of the streams area.

The ROM is forward and backward compatible with the original 1982 ZX Spectrum ROM and all entry points to routines have been preserved so it will work with all 48K ZX Spectrum software.
